Technology Connecting People
Wireless Broadband networks from Xiocom are designed for outdoor deployment to provide coverage over large areas and into buildings. They are built around a high-performance network processing core, access and backhaul radios and an open, embedded software environment.
With the multi-radio node, the multiple radios in each platform are configured point-to-point with directional antennas or point-to-multipoint. Each platform can connect to multiple others and the combined connections can be made to form a wireless mesh when needed.
Advanced radio and antenna techniques enable multiple radios to operate in a single package without degradation of performance. Integrated access radios allow for full Wi-Fi or 4.9 GHz Public Safety point-to-multipoint access at every point.
Regardless of the network design it is never a shared network. The backhaul radios that form the network core operate in a different frequency band from the local access radios. This allows both the wireless access and backhaul networks to operate independently and at full speed.
