XIOCOM WIRELESS APPOINTS MATTHEW GETZ AS VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES TO ASSIST WITH RAPID STAFF GROWTH


Atlanta, GA – January 9, 2008 – Xiocom Wireless, a leader in broadband wireless networks, announces the appointment of Matthew Getz as Vice President, Human Resources. He'll have responsibility for the design, development and support of the people strategies and practices the company will need as it pursues new market opportunities globally.

Getz brings with him sixteen years of successful and progressive human resources management experience, with expertise in leadership development, organizational design and effectiveness, employee engagement, performance management and career planning.

For the past four years Getz was Director of Human Resources at Earthlink, where he drove company-wide organizational development, performance management and employee engagement initiatives. He was called upon to provide analysis, design, delivery and measurement of talent management processes, and helped develop the first corporate on-boarding program that better aligned new employees with the new corporate culture. This on-boarding program has won accolades within the Atlanta HR community and is highest rated among employee satisfaction scores.

Prior to that Getz was the Manager of Leadership and Employee Engagement for BlessingWhite, with responsibility for all clients in six southeast U.S. states. His duties included developing strategic partnerships with senior executives and providing quality and consultative leadership and organizational design solutions. During this time he coached over fifty corporate executives on organizational design and human resources issues, helping them reduce turnover, improve employee engagement, align business/people strategies and build stronger people managers. He developed partner-specific diversity, change management and analysis processes helping clients meet EEOC, Affirmative Action and compliance requirements, and researched and implemented culture-specific learning models with global partners in Latin America, Asia and Europe.

He also served as Director of Leadership Development for the National Association of Home Builders, where he developed and oversaw leadership programming, strategic planning, process improvement and member consulting services to corporate headquarters and more than 800 local associations throughout the U.S.

Prior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer for Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the corporate headquarters of an international college fraternity with more than $5 million in annual revenues.

Getz earned a Master's of Business Administration degree, concentrating on Organizational Management and International Business, from the Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA), where he was selected as one of Top 4 MBA students in Georgia by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Mercer University (Macon, GA).
